God of War Ascension Multiplayer

If you’ve been interested, intrigued, or even skeptical about the multiplayer in the upcoming God of War: Ascension, you can check it out for yourself starting today. PlayStation Plus subscribers now have access to the multiplayer beta for the upcoming fantasy action-adventure title from Sony Santa Monica.

The beta includes quite a bit of content, which has been detailed on the PlayStation Blog. Players have access to the Zeus and Ares God Allegiances, as well as the Desert of Lost Souls and Forum of Hercules maps. Additionally, three modes are available: Team Favor of the Gods (eight players), Capture the Flag (eight players), and Free for All (four players). The level cap for the beta is 30, and there are customization options for weapons and items.

Sony Santa Monica shared some info regarding the full multiplayer experience in Ascension. Two additional classes, Hades and Poseidon, will be included. There will also be a third weapon class, new maps both large and small, and more customization options. As far as modes are concerned, Team Up with Friends and a super secret fourth multiplayer mode are also expected to be available at launch.
