Wii U ZombiU Bundle

Nintendo has revealed the new Wii U ZombiU Deluxe Set. Packaged in the box you’ll find the Wii U, charging cradle, and stands like the normal Deluxe offering. However, you’ll also get a copy of ZombiU, a ZombiU art book, a Wii U Pro Controller, and a download of Nintendo Land. The bundle will feature a $389.99 price tag and is due out on February 17.

ZombiU is a hell of a game, so that title alone is a great pack-in with the Wii U. Additionally, all of the other stuff included in the set mean consumers can save 70 bucks. It’s not very surprising then that this new bundle has existing Wii U owners quite perturbed. As a matter of fact, plenty of individuals have reportedly claimed that they rue the day they ever bought the Wii U.

Normally, I’d say the internet is overreacting like always. This time, though, I have to admit that this obvious financial move from Nintendo kind of blows for early Wii U adopters. I picked up my Wii U Deluxe a couple of weeks after launch and snagged a copy of ZombiU right along with it. My total came out to about $410 (not including tax), so seeing this bundle is definitely a bit of a bummer.
