Ubisoft has confirmed that Rayman Legends will be available on the Vita. This portable version of the game will arrive alongside the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U iterations on September 3 in North America. News of Legends on the Vita surfaced yesterday, but Ubisoft had yet to shed light on the story until today.
Some exclusive content will be available on the Vita edition of Legends. Five original stages will be included in the game, tasking players with guiding Murphy using the rear touchpad. Additionally, Rayman will get a Prince of Persia outfit, meanwhile Globox will get a Splinter Cell costume.
Legends on the Vita will also sport local and online co-op. So if you want to team up with a buddy who also owns a Vita or get a little Wi-Fi gaming going, you’ll be able to do so. It probably won’t be as awesome as playing with a pal on the same TV, but it’s still a good addition, especially considering the fact that Rayman Origins lacked this multiplayer functionality.
