No, we did not. Honestly, I would kind of like to end this post right after just pointing out the obvious, but I’ll continue. I mean, if Nintendo can make a ludicrously obvious reveal, I can sure as hell ask an equally ludicrously obvious question in this post’s headline and then answer said question with an obvious response.

So no, we did not need an official Luigi reveal for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U and 3DS. That’s what we got in the latest Nintendo Direct video feature, though, so let’s discuss it, shall we?

Luigi looks to join the roster of brawlers in the next entry in the Smash Bros. franchise. We got a look at Mario’s kid brother in some screenshots, and it appears he’ll be utilizing his old set of moves. He also looks like a complete goof, but that’s something that’s actually kind of enjoyable about Luigi in Smash Bros.

Personally, I’m still waiting on the King Dedede announcement.
