Ripstone has announced that it’s bringing Knytt Underground to the Wii U eShop. The game was previously released for the PlayStation 3 and Vita via the PlayStation Network. The game, which offers up Metroidvania gameplay, is also available on the PC, Mac, and Linux.
Knytt Underground was originally developed by Nicklas “Nifflas” Nygren and is the follow-up to both Knytt and Knytt Stories. The game is due out sometime between the end of 2013 and the beginning of 2014.
In addition to Knytt Underground, Ripstone is also working on releasing Pure Chess on the eShop. The planned release date for this digital take on chess is also 2013/2014.
