What is this tomfoolery? Baseball in a Zelda game? That’s absolutely preposterous! Well, actually, it’s not all that preposterous. In fact, it kind of makes sense.
As indicated on Destructoid, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will feature a baseball minigame. Dubbed Octoball Derby, this diversion allows Link to earn precious, precious rupees, all the while offering a bit of respite for the weary adventurer as his travels become more and more daunting.
The question is: Will baseball be the new fishing in A Link Between Worlds? It’s hard to say at this point. I suppose we’ll find out when the game launches for the 3DS on November 22.
