Mirror's Edge

Rhianna Pratchett, who was one of the writers involved with Mirror’s Edge back in 2008, won’t be returning to the series. Pratchett made the announcement via her Twitter account yesterday.

“It’s really lovely that people care enough to ask whether I’m involved with Mirror’s Edge 2, but I’m not & wasn’t asked,” she tweeted. “Let’s face it ME1‘s story didn’t review that great (for many reasons). So I consider myself a casualty of that development process. By all accounts it’s a new team on it, so go with God, I say. Create cool stuff. We always need more of that.”

Pratchett most recently worked on projects including Tomb Raider and Beatbuddy: Tale of the Guardians. Word going around the good ol’ Internet is that Mirror’s Edge 2 will be a reimagining or reboot of sorts for the series. Considering the first game’s story was poorly received, here’s hoping the writing team for the next game turns out something decent.
