Eternity’s Child Creator: “No More Future Games”

Luc Bernard, creator of PC and WiiWare title Eternity’s Child, is calling it quits on game development. While he still plans to support EC for months to come with additional chapters as well as a place to upload user created content for the Steam version, new projects are out of the question. Why? In a nutshell: bad press, abysmally low review sources, and the general negativity of comments regarding his latest game.

I thought the video game industry was different, but no it’s actually harder and worse than any other one. I still wonder why people hate Dennis Dyack for no reason and Uwe Boll. I don’t think if people realize the psychological things it can do to people.

I can sympathize with getting upset over negative reviews and comments, but to actually stop development on future titles over it? Pretty extreme. Hopefully he’ll reconsider and learn how to take criticism more effectively.

Won’t be continuing [Luc Bernard]
