Developer 3DRealms revealed today that work on the enhanced XBLA port of PC classic Duke Nukem 3D is complete. Better yet, the title passed Microsoft’s lengthy certification process last Friday. In short, that means everything is good to go. It’s now up to Microsoft themselves to determine the release date and MS point pricing.

According to the company’s community manager Joe Siegler, the XBLA edition will feature “plenty of really cool stuff” not found in the original release. Though he wasn’t ready to divulge specifics just yet, he did promise that an extensive preview will appear in the October 2008 issue of the Official Xbox Magazine, which hits newsstands this month.
