Datel Plunders Homebrew Code In PSP Action Replay Device

by Mike Bendel November 4, 2008 @ 7:18 pm

After thorough investigation by prominent PSP developers, including Dark_AleX himself, it has come to light that peripheral maker Datel used code from a non-profit homebrew application with its latest product, known as the PSP Action Replay. The product in question ships with a 64MB Memory Stick, containing the exact same IPL block found in original Pandora battery hack, which was initially released last August by team C+D.

To top it all off Datel is selling this product on retail shelves and major online outlets such as Amazon for $40, with no credit given to the original developers. This is outrageous if you ask us. We would highly recommend not supporting a corporation that feeds off the hard work of homebrew developers with no credit being given whatsoever. If you need a cheat device, there’s always Weltall’s freely available CWCheat.
