Max Payne 3 launches for PC this Friday, but you can pre-order it on Steam now. If you decide to go the digital route, you can score some sweet freebies, so if you’re going to get Rockstar’s latest anyway, you might be interested in Steam’s special offer.

Gamers who pre-order Max Payne 3 through Valve’s digital download platform will be treated to a free download of L.A. Noire. The Team Bondi-developed adventure game was lauded for its inventive gameplay and crazy realism. If you’re in the market for a free game (and really, who isn’t?), a free copy of L.A. Noire should be enough to entice you to pre-order Max Payne 3 on Steam.

If you already own L.A. Noire, though, there’s one more reason for you to be stoked about this Steam deal: free DLC! Pre-purchasing Max Payne 3 gives you access to the Classic Multiplayer Character Pack, which throws in old school Max Payne favorites like Vladimir Lem and Mona Sax; Disorderly Conduct Multiplayer Weapons Pack that includes some heavy-duty artillery; Pill Bottle item that allows you to carry more painkillers in multiplayer; and a Max Payne retro avatar for you purists.

Not a bad haul if you’re looking forward to Max Payne 3 on the PC. Needless to say, if you hate free stuff, carry on and disregard this article.
