One of the coolest games of 2012 is now available for free. Well, it’s available for free for anyone who’s a PS Plus subscriber. If you’re not and you haven’t played Retro City Rampage, that kind of blows for ya. If you are and you already played Retro City Rampage, you have every right to feel indifferent about this. If, however, you’re a Plus member and have yet to play some Retro City Rampage, well, now’s the time to get all giddy.

I’m certain you get it by now. There’s really no need for me to continue. You know the drill: If you’ve yet to play this awesome indie throwback to the NES era, definitely check it out on the PlayStation Network now that it’s free for Plus subscribers.

Retro City Rampage is a hilarious top-down  romp through a criminal-infested city. The game is rife with old school references to the Ninja Turtles, The Legend of Zelda, and even Michael Jackson! So yeah, if you’ve already shelled out the cash for a Plus membership and have been meaning to play Retro City Rampage, do yourself a favor and get to it.
