The last-gen 3D beat ’em up The Warriors will make its way to the PlayStation Network next week, Rockstar Games reported in a post on the PlayStation Blog. The game will be available as a PlayStation 2 Classic for $9.99 beginning on May 28.

Originally released in 2005, The Warriors tells the story of a gang whose sole mission is to get back to its Coney Island turf, all the while battling rival gangs along the way. Based on the 1979 cult movie of the same name, this beat ’em up followed the script closely, but it also provided several flashback sequences to help create back stories for each of the characters.

The Warriors was a really great action game, and if you’ve yet to play it, I’d suggest checking it out when it brawls its way to the PlayStation Network. In addition to this title, Rockstar also released the stealth slasher game Manhunt last week.
