Aside from being one of the many upcoming indie games for the PlayStation 4, Mercenary Kings from developer Tribute Games will also bring its 2D shoot ‘em up action to the PC. If you’re looking forward to this particular version, you’ll be glad to know that it’s coming to Steam Early Access beginning July 22.
“We are well aware that we’re behind our schedule, but we believe it’s for the best,” stated Tribute on the Mercenary Kings Kickstarter page. “Because we’ve sailed past our 75k goal, we decided to spend more time to work on the game (adding more levels and the online component have been time consuming). The Early Access version of the game will end up being a beefed up version of our first milestone.”
Folks who pledged $15 or more during the Mercenary Kings Kickstarter campaign will have access to the game. Additionally, during the Early Access phase, you’ll be able to play the game for $15. After this period is over, however, Mercenary Kings will be priced at $20.
