Confirmed: Pay as you play with GT HD?

An official press release from Sony regarding Gran Turismo HD seems to reveal the thought we all dreaded – in theory, paying lots of cash to get all the cars and tracks in the game. The release reads "allows for the long awaited feature of additional cars (ranging up to 770 car models) and tracks (up to 51) available through ongoing downloads".
