If a candid forum post from game designer Jason “haTts” Reiss is any indication, Gearbox Software is prepping a third downloadable content pack for its open-world RPG Borderlands. Without delving too far into specifics, Reiss revealed that upcoming DLC will feature gameplay adjustments that fans have been clamoring for, such as a level cap increase. It’s primed to be the “biggest DLC” pack yet, Reiss teases. He also let slip that a formal announcement would be coming shortly.

After finalizing Zombies DLC, the team and I began reading the DLC feedback around the forums on the wants and desires. Guess what, level cap increase anyone? Got it and it’s awesome. Hopefully we can get a full announcement out to you guys soon but, man is this the biggest DLC we have made. So don’t worry, we are working really hard right now on both the update (that solves a bunch of issues) and the DLC. More to come guys!!

Given the success of previous Borderlands DLC, receiving word of another pack on the horizon so soon comes as little surprise. Let the anticipation begin.
