The Red Star Destined For PSP, iPhone

Originally released on PS2, XS Games has announced that its top-down shooter and beat ’em up mashup is slated to hit PSP and iPhone. The handheld edition is due for a facelift, with the developer promising a “fresh visual polish” in addition to “improved controls.”
Tailored for a “pick up and play” type experience, The Red Star is set in a fictitious alternate reality ravaged by an ongoing conflict between the world’s most powerful nations. Following the plot of Christian Gossett’s graphic novel of the same name, players assume the role of one of three characters from diverse backgrounds, each proficient in a particular area of combat.
The Red Star makes its portable debut in Spring 2010.
