EA has sent over an extended direct-feed version of the Crysis 2 teaser trailer that was broadcast live at Times Square in New York earlier this week.

In it, we catch a glimpse of the titular protagonist thrust in the middle of alien invasion that erupts chaos and bloodshed in the once-peaceful city of New York. We’re also given a brief look at Nanosuit 2, an improved rendition of the ability-enhancing suit featured in the first Crysis. Clocking in at around 2 minutes, the clip is short but sweet, and leaves us yearning for more. Check it out above.

Note that the footage shown here was captured from a console, meaning it is not indicative of what the PC version will look like. That aside, does Crysis 2 raise the bar for console graphics? You be the judge. Developer Crytek has made an impressive effort, that’s for sure.

Crysis 2 is slated to hit PS3, Xbox 360 and PC “holiday 2010.”
