Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 Re-Engineered With Jumping Mechanics

Redesigned, rebuilt and re-engineered. Capcom is prepping a modernized follow-up to its Bionic Commando retro-revival, aptly dubbed Bionic Commando Rearmed 2. As shockingly revealed in the brief 40-second trailer above, it takes a turn for the unexpected, introducing the ability to jump. Say adios to having to grapple your way past short-studded obstacles.
While we’re not quite sure how devout fans will respond to this radical change in gameplay, it certainly comes as a refreshing and welcomed change to us, having spent time with the NES original and Rearmed.
Sweden-based developer Fatshark is handling development duties on the PSN and XBLA effort. A bit unexpected considering the recent formation of Might and Magic, a studio comprised of ex-GRIN employees. However, rest assured that the original talent is still working on this one, to an extent. After GRIN dissolved, a few members did jump ship to Fatshark.
