Pokemon Black, White Head Stateside Spring 2011

The next generation of Pokemon will reach North American shores in Spring 2011, Nintendo announced today. Scheduled to debut in two flavors, Pokemon White and Black introduce an all-new storyline to the franchise alongside hundreds of new critters. The titles were announced for a fall release in Japan last April.
Nintendo remained coy on details in the initial announcement, presumably saving the nitty gritty details for E3. The box art covers for White and Black will feature legendary Pokemon Zekrom and Reshiram, respectively.
To date, the franchise has shifted more than 200 million units cumulatively following its introduction in Japan 14 years ago.
