Left 4 Dead 2 Mutation “Last Man Standing” Pits Solo Players Against Special Infected

Reckon you can fend off the zombie apocalypse without any help from CPU-controlled allies or otherwise? Valve sends word that this week’s Mutation, appropriately dubbed Last Man Standing, forgoes the multiplayer aspect of Left 4 Dead 2 and pits players in a solo endurance struggle against waves of Special Infected. Common Infected aren’t invited to the party, it’s just you and the game’s most deadly foes in a fight to the bitter end. Sounds like a hoot.
Valve also informs us that those that record a clip of their best 60 seconds in the aforementioned Mutation mode and upload it to YouTube under the identifying tag of “L4D2LastSurvivor” have a chance at being featured on the official L4D blog.
