Castlevania: Harmony of Despair May Hit PSN, Says Igarashi

For a low-budget production, Castlevania: Harmony of Despair impressed us at E3. It’s essentially Metroidvania with co-op, a winning combination. Currently, though, only a Xbox Live Arcade release is on the cards. You’d think bringing it over to PSN as well would be a given.

Not so, according to producer Koji “IGA” Igarashi in a recent interview with Dtoid. As it stands, IGA says the development team are focusing their efforts solely on Xbox 360. At the same time, however, he isn’t ruling out a PSN rendition — if Harmony of Despair pulls in decent sales numbers, that is.

Right now I’m focusing on Xbox LIVE Arcade. But there might be a possibility with that. I hope this one sells, and then we can think about PSN.

So there’s a tinge of hope to cling on to. You can skim over our impressions of the title here.
