Final Fantasy XIV Hits Western Markets In September, PS3 Version Delayed

RPG powerhouse Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XIV will hit retail shelves worldwide on September 30, with a special collector’s edition available beforehand on September 22. Contrary to popular belief, the PS3 version will not launch alongside its PC counterpart and is scheduled to arrive at a later date in March 2011, dashing hopes of a simultaneous debut.
The standard edition is priced at $49.99 while the CE will run you $79.99. Base subscription rates are set at $12.99 per month.
