Valve: Left 4 Dead Mac Edition Due Out By Halloween

While Left 4 Dead 2 is slated to make its Mac debut on October 5 to coincide with the arrival of “The Sacrifice” DLC, Valve has remained mum on when a Mac flavor of the original outing is due out – until now, that is.
In a status update on the official Left 4 Dead site, Valve notes that it is running a tad bit behind schedule and aims to have L4D Mac out “in time to celebrate Halloween.”
As you’d expect, when the Mac version arrives it will come preloaded with all previously released downloadable content packs, including “The Sacrifice,” which adds content to both L4D titles. Best of all, Valve titles on Steam are platform independent, meaning those that already own the original can download it on Mac as soon as it drops.
