Diablo III: Beta, New Class, and More From BlizzCon

BlizzCon 2010 started this weekend and we’re already seeing a wealth of information come from Blizzard concerning their next highly anticipated game, Diablo III. The final class, Demon Hunter, was announced yesterday while a lengthy 20-minute video showcasing the new class was unveiled today. There will also be dedicated Player vs. Player (PvP) arenas for the game, allowing solo and team-based battles (ears will still drop too!).

On top of the other announcements, Jay Wilson, Game Director for Diablo III, said that the game will be receiving a closed beta for “friends and family”. Knowing Blizzard’s previous track record however that beta will most likely be opened up to the entire community on an invite-only basis. Wilson also confirmed that the game is “way over halfway done” yet no release date for the game has been given at the conference.

Be sure to check out PvP and Demon Hunter videos after the break.
