Better late than never, right? In an effort to push the relevancy of Macs for gaming purposes, Gearbox Software and publisher Feral Interactive have teamed to bring the GOTY edition of Borderlands to OSX.

Gearbox president Randy Pitchford is understandably pumped:

We are absolutely thrilled that Mac gamers will now be able to join in on the world of Pandora in Borderlands. The best part is that every Mac gamer gets to experience the game plus all the ass-kicking add-on packs for Borderlands!  They are getting the full complete package, and this is the best way to enjoy such an extravasplosive game like Borderlands.”

Those interested can pre-order the Mac edition now direct from Feral Interactive. Unfortunately, given the publisher switch, it looks like it will not be offered on a gratis basis to those that already purchased the PC counterpart. Bummer.
