Minecraft Approaches 1 Million In Sales

A beta price hike hasn’t put a damper on sales of indie giant Minecraft. Creator Markus “Notch” Persson is understandably pumped, announcing that sales of the sandbox title are approaching 1 million.
“Oh, and Minecraft will hit 1 million sales soon, and I have NO idea how to celebrate that! There’s no time to plan anything!,” he wrote in a tumblr post.
The milestone comes alongside word that Minecraft has been nominated for three categories in the Independent Games Festival, namely Grand Prize, Technical Excellence, and Excellence In Design.
