Microsoft may be ramping up internal R&D efforts for its next Xbox, if a “confidential” design brief from the online portfolio of IEB employee Ben Peterson is anything to go by.
While the page itself has since been scrapped, likely at the request of Microsoft, the sleuths over at ZDNet managed to save a screenshot. It depicts a generic-looking prototype along with a decidedly more interesting caption: “Collaboration with Microsoft’s IEB Design group investigating future user experiences and hardware for 2015.”
A 2015 release timeframe would put the next Xbox at roughly 10 years after the launch of 360.
