Where is George “Geohot” Hotz? The prolific iPhone hacker and most recently a prime target of Sony’s sweeping PS3 jailbreak lawsuit is now reportedly working at Facebook.

A recent wall post on his Facebook page confirms involvement with the company, though in what capacity is unclear.

Sony filed suit against Hotz earlier this year, citing a DMCA violation for the release of jailbreak code that allowed unauthorized software to be run on PS3. After an exhausting series of back-and-forth legal bouts, the two parties eventually came to a truce, with Sony dropping litigation in exchange for assurance that Hotz would never hack a Sony product again.

Shortly after the suit wrapped up, Hotz kicked off his own Sony boycott, reassuring supporters that he’d continue to fight for consumer rights. He dropped off the radar not long after.

It seems that Hotz has gone completely white-hat. Given Hotz’s expertise on the Apple side of things, it’s possible he may be working on a rumored iPad app for Facebook. That’s pure speculation for now, though.
