Resistance 3 Public Beta Kicks Off August 4

Early access to the public beta of Resistance 3, Insomniac’s PS3 exclusive FPS franchise, will kick off on August 4. It’ll feature two maps across two of the game’s five muliplayer modes. Beyond that, players can level up their character, buy and upgrade weapons and abilities, customize loadouts and unlock new character skins.
You can score an invite through specially marked packages of SOCOM 4. Invites will be dispatched to PS Plus subscribers on August 10 in Europe, while US folks will gain entry on August 23. For more details, hit up the PlayStation Blog.
