A new campaign sequence for Gears of War 3 entitled “RAAM’s Shadow” was announced earlier by Microsoft and Epic Games.  Going with the flashback motif, you’ll be inserted into a timeline that occurs shortly after Emergence Day and prior to the events of the first Gears of War title.  To change things up, you’ll be able to actually play from the perspective of the Locust leader for the first time in the series at a campaign level.

In addition to playing from the Locust point of view, you’ll be playing as Micheal Barrick of Zeta Squad, who also happens to be a character made famous from the Gears comic series.  Joining Barrick will be fan favorites Lt. Kim (who got skewered by RAAM in the first game), Tai Kaliso (who offed himself in the second game), and newcomer Alicia Valera.

Rounding out the DLC will be six new multiplayer skins, the Chocolate Weapon Set, and another 250 Gamerscore points to be achieved.  “RAAM’s Shadow” is the second round of DLC to be announce for Gears of War 3, the “Horde Command Pack” being the first, and will be available for purchase from the Marketplace for 1200 MS points on December 13th.
