Bethesda: Skyrim Generates $650 Million In Sales, Fastest Selling Title On Steam Yet

Bethesda parent ZeniMax Media announced today that Skyrim is enjoying brisk sales at retail, generating $650 million in sales since its November 11 debut. To date, 10 million copies have been shipped across PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
The company made it a point to highlight the success of the PC version. In North America, the PC release of Skyrim outsold all other PC games by a factor of over three to one. An impressive statistic, no doubt.
What’s more, is that Valve says Skyrim is the fastest selling title in Steam’s history. Well deserved, we’d say. Unfortunately, digital sales figures were not divulged – and the provided revenue figure does not include Steam transactions.
