NervOS 1.0 – Interface Shell For PSP

by Mike Bendel March 8, 2008 @ 5:21 pm

Homebrew developer Pirata Nervo has announced the initial release of NervOS. Similar to iR Shell, NervOS is a shell replacement for the PSP that aims to provide a user friendly and feature rich interface. Notable features include the ability to take screenshots, a built-in custom image viewer, MP3 playback, and support for executing UMD discs and homebrew applications straight from within the shell.

Hit the jump for the full list of features.

* Image Viewer
* MP3 Player
* Can execute homebrew
* Can execute UMDs
* Can load PRX plugins (it is not finished so weird things may happen)
* USB Mode
* Shows the current time
* Shows the battery life percentage
* Take screenshots (press select)

Feature-wise, NervOS may not be as robust as iR Shell, but it’s definitely a start! Give this release a try by downloading it below and look forward to more updates in the not-too-distant future.
