SCE: PS Vita Sales Hit 1.2 Million Worldwide

Sony’s announced that the PS Vita has reached an upwards of 1.2 million units in global sales boosted by the recent launch in North America, Europe, and PAL territories. While a breakdown per country was not provided, the company says that the launch has exceeded expectations on all fronts. Software sales have crossed the 2 million mark, taking both retail and PSN transactions into account.
“PS Vita was designed to deliver the ultimate portable entertainment experience, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the reaction we’re seeing from consumers and the pace at which PS Vita is selling,” said SCE president Andrew House.
