The NPD Group has released the software and hardware sales figures for the month of February. As expected, the Nintendo DS took first place, while the Wii placed second. Surprisingly, the PlayStation 2 pulled ahead of both the PS3 and Xbox 360, taking third place. The PS3 once again outsold the Xbox 360, with Microsoft blaming the low sales figures on hardware shortages.
