The Last Guardian Not Planned for Tokyo Game Show

Sony has revealed its lineup of games for this year’s Tokyo Game Show. It’s quite the impressive list, featuring titles across the PlayStation 3, Vita, and even the PSP. But as a report on Joystiq noted, there’s absolutely no sign of The Last Guardian whatsoever.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Borderlands 2, and Assassin’s Creed 3 are just a few of the titles that will be on hand for the PlayStation 3. As far as the Vita is concerned, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Silent Hill: Book of Memories, and Soul Sacrifice will be on display for gamers to check out. But despite all of these anticipated titles, The Last Guardian remains hidden within the confines of the Sony offices.

Sony recently revealed that the successor to Shadow of the Colossus is still a thing, but it’s consistently missed every major trade show over the past couple of years. The dev team reportedly had to redo a lot of the finished product — which there was said to be plenty of — forcing an ongoing development period. At this point it’s hard to tell when we’ll actually get to see more of The Last Guardian.
