New Look for PlayStation Store This October

Alongside the announcement of a smaller and lighter PS3, the Australian PlayStation site has let slip that a complete revamp of the PlayStation Store is slated for October.

“To tie in with the launch, PlayStation Store for PS3 is set to get a new look from October 2012 too, making it even easier for you to find and download the content you love from the comfort of your sofa,” reads a blurb on the site.

Intriguing to say the least. Do you think the PlayStation Store is in need of a makeover? Honestly, I’ve always found the PS3’s store pretty straightforward to navigate, though over the years it has gotten a bit crowded as more categories are added. That being said, the downloads list tied to the store could use some tidying up. Perhaps we’ll finally get a sorting option. Most likely the launch of this redesigned store will coincide with a new firmware update as well.
