Get This: The Wii Mini Doesn’t Have an SD Card Slot

Well, this is just insanely absurd. Remember that Wii Mini that was announced by Nintendo for the Canadian market last week? Yes, I’m talking about that $99.99 Wii redesign that won’t feature internet access or GameCube backward compatibility. Well, now it’s going to be devoid of another feature: an SD slot. Man alive!

According to Nintendo World Report, the Wii and Wii U manufacturer stated that the Wii Mini is designed for “a different type of player.” I’m assuming the company means people who need paperweights.

I’m absolutely baffled at this wacky device and seriously can’t even fathom the idea of someone actually wanting this thing. I suppose if Nintendo lowers the price enough down the road more people will buy it just to play Zelda or Mario. I also won’t be surprised if corporate offices take my idea to heart and buy these things to use as paperweights.
