It’s been a rocky road for the PlayStation 3 edition of Koei’s futuristic racer Fatal Inertia. First announced as a launch title, the game has suffered numerous delays and made the switch to a digital title shortly after the maligned Xbox 360 version hit retail shelves.
Today Koei announced that development on the PS3 version has finally wrapped up and the game has officially gone gold, in preparation for its June 19 release date on the PlayStation Store. On the same day, Koei will release a free downloadable demo, giving players a chance to test out the game’s online multiplayer component before purchasing.
The PS3 version of the game will feature a number of enhancements over the 360 original, including a “re-tuned” control set designed to take advantage of the DualShock 3, upgraded visual effects, and eight additional tracks.
