Rayman Legends Delay Protest

Quite a few individuals have been vocal about their disdain toward Ubisoft’s decision to delay Rayman Legends on Wii U due to its development for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Well, you can now add the development team of Ubisoft Montpellier to that group.

As indicated by a report on Joystiq, Rayman creator Michel Ancel and other members of the dev team decided to stand in alongside a peacefully protesting fan. The individual in question is named Joffrey Babilotte, and he created a banner with a drawing of a crying Rayman and the words “Release Rayman, support Ubisoft Montpellier.”

It’s great to see a fan reacting in a manner that isn’t aggressive, and it’s also quite awesome that Ancel and Ubisoft Montpellier are clearly supporting the cause. The delay, announced last week, left several folks flustered as Legends was ready to launch on Wii U.

Admittedly, I’m glad the game is going multiplatform because that means even more people will get to play it. That said, it’s certainly a shame that Wii U owners who were eagerly anticipating the game won’t get their hands on it just yet. I mean, I certainly wouldn’t mind playing Legends sooner rather than later.
