SCEE: Gran Turismo 5 “Expected” For Holiday 2009

Looks like the latest entry in Polyphony Digital’s flagship car racing series might arrive sooner than 2010 after all. That is, if we take the words of SCEE vice-president James Armstrong. In a recent report from online-based Spanish newspaper El Financiero, the exec was quoted as saying that he expects Gran Turismo 5 to hit in time for the holiday season next year.
This of course is reassuring news for all of the GT fans among us, but we’d recommend that to avoid disappointment, refrain from marking those calendars. At least until Polyphony themselves commit to an actual release date.
