The PC Gaming Alliance has spoken out on the state of the industry and the musings contain an eyebrow-raising statistic, notably that piracy on the PC platform is in decline. PCGA president Matt Ployhar tells trade site Gamasutra that the rise of social elements such as achievement tracking is encouraging consumers that’d otherwise hop on a torrent to pay up.

2K Confirms Steamworks Integration for Duke Nukem Forever

2K Games and developer Gearbox Software have announced today that the PC release of Duke Nukem Forever is receiving the Steamworks treatment. With Steamworks integration comes the usual perks of running on Valve’s platform, including auto-updating, achievements, and cloud saving. It also means that all copies purchased, whether digital or retail,  will activate via Steam.
